About Dr. Divya Kannan

Dr. Divya Kannan completed her doctoral training at the University of Memphis, Tennessee, USA, and postdoctoral fellowship at the Vanderbilt Psychological & Counseling Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was the Lead Psychologist for the Acute Care Team and served as Clinical Faculty at the Vanderbilt Psychiatry Department. Dr. Kannan is currently the Clinical Director for therapy at cult.fit. 

She has worked with several organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Fortis La Femme, People Tree Hospitals, and cult.fit since moving back to her hometown Bangalore, in 2017.

Dr. Kannan specializes in the study of traumatic or difficult life events and served as an elected member on the executive committee of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Trauma Division (Div. 56). She is a recipient of the Vanderbilt VICTR grant dedicated to the discovery of clinical research.

Dr. Kannan’s private practice currently focuses on working with adults in individual and couples therapy.
